BENJAMIN RAAB
Contributing Editor: Comiculture

COMICULTURE'S resident curmudgeon began his career in 1993 with an internship at MARVEL COMICS. A disturbingly thorough knowledge of all things X-Men soon landed him the position of Assistant Editor to BOB HARRAS on the X-Men titles. In the summer of 1996, he was promoted to MARVEL INTERACTIVE'S first Online Editorial Manager. In this position, Benjamin was responsible for launching MARVEL'S AOL and Web domains.

Since January 1997, he’s been a freelance writer, working for companies such as MARVEL, DC, WILDSTORM, IMAGE, MOONSTONE, MALIBU, ACCLAIM, KITCHEN SINK, DISNEY, EGMONT SCANDINAVIA and FREW AUSTRALIA. Some of his prouder moments include: JLA: Shogun Of Steel, X-Men: Hellfire Club, Union Jack, Legend of the Hawkman, Excalibur: Sword Of Power, The Phantom and Cryptopia. As one of Cryptopia's co-creators, Benjamin is very excited that the property has recently been optioned for development in film and television by GOODMAN/ROSEN PRODUCTIONS in Los Angeles.
